Do we accept returns?

A: All sales are final and merchandise is sold "as is" and "where is". No returns, refunds or exchanges are accepted. Accordingly, you are invited to thoroughly check or test items before purchasing. When unable to check on premises that a given item works, we may, at our sole discretion, offer you a 24 hours money back guarantee, valid only if said item would not work once at home. This would typically apply to lighting.

Do we accept checks or credit cards?

A: We accept checks with a valid driver's license (a $30 charge will be assessed for all returned checks).

We do not accept temporary checks.
For amounts over $2,000, we require a certified check.
We accept Visa, Dicsover, Master Card, and American Express

Do we purchase goods outright?

A: Unfortunately we do not purchase inventory outright

Do we have a planned markdown schedules to encourage the sale of your item?

A: We follow an organized markdown plan.

10% off from the original resale price after 20 days.
20% off from the original resale price after 40 days.
30% off from the original resale price after 60 days.

Although we follow this schedule strictly, when unique circumstances warrant (like true antiques or high value collectibles) we reserve the right to modify it

Who is responsible for loss or damage due to theft, fire or flood or any other causes?

A: All item(s) are left at the owner's risk therefore, Saratoga Consignment Studio is not responsible

Can you clean, repair, or refinish my consignment items?

A: Everything is sold in an "as is" condition. All items are priced to reflect the item's condition.

It is to your benefit to enhance the overall look of your items before you bring them in to be consigned.

PLEASE NOTE: All items must be from a smoke free, pet damage free, & sun damaged free home. Also, sofas and chairs must be clean under all cushions. Items that do not meet these requirements run the risk of refusal at the time of delivery. Undisclosed damage runs the same risk of refusal. Unclean items, or items in need of significant touch ups may be assessed a cleaning fee.

Cleaning and repair services will be at an hourly rate of $75.00 plus materials needed to clean, or repair with a minimum of $100.00.

I only have accessories to consign, do I need to take photos of these, too?

A: It is generally best to send photos of your items individually. We can respond to each of your photos so that we are all clear on what item(s) are or are not accepted. You can also call the studio to schedule a time for a preview of your items. Please keep in mind that all item(s) are subject to approval whether they are presented in an email or an in-person appointment.

Is there an extra fee to advertise my items on your Internet Online Studio?

A: No, at this time we provide this service at no charge to the consignor. It is the studios decision what is added to the site.

What if my items haven't sold by the end of the consignment period?

A: You have a couple of options: (1) "Clearance" out your item(s) for an additional 30 days (2) Pick up your item(s) within 5 days.*

* If item(s) are not picked up within 5 days they become the property of "Saratoga Consignment Studio"

How long is the consignment period?

A: The consignment period is for 90 days, unless otherwise agreed.
